Q: Am I safe from someone hacking into my information?A: The information on the site is only a value to your heirs, designees or beneficiary. The information would be use less to a hacker as we have left all the identity theft indicators off the site. Example social security numbers, account numbers, drivers license numbers etc.. Q: Won't my insurance company notify the beneficiary for me?A: It falls on the shoulders of the insurer. Find your state insurance commissioner. Q: What happens to the insurance policy money that I paid for all those years?A: Depending on the laws of your state! But typically the money is held by the insurance company until the mortality table (external link) runs out and then is turned over to the unclaimed property division of that state (external link). Q: Why am I doing a search for unclaimed property (external link)?A: Because there are 10's of billions of dollars of money that goes unclaimed that effects 7 out of 10 Americans. In the next ten years there will be 14 trillion dollars being passed down by the baby boomers and how many more billions and maybe trillions will get lost! Q: When are these monies turned over to the states unclaimed property division?A: The states use a dormancy table (PDF file) for a guideline for all the company's to follow! | |||||
